What is on your kids Christmas list this year? If you haven’t read by now, I am a gymnastics mama, which means my kid wants all things gymnastics and of course I must (well don’t have to but want to) deliver! However, gymnastics gifts come with huge price tags, which caused me to shop smart this holiday season. I have been following the sales, maximizing the coupons and making sure to take advantage of any free shipping.

Now let’s, be realistic here. Kids never ask for what they need which is why the holidays are the best time of the year, when you are a kid. You can ask for toys, video games etc. and leave out the boring things, like clothes, PJs, shoes, sneakers etc. If you are a mama like me, those items absolutely stay on the Christmas list. Kids have no idea what they need, they just know it magically appears when they need it.

For our family Christmases, I add these items in a fun way. We created our own holiday tradition, well actually, we use a tradition borrowed from my own childhood. Every Christmas Eve, Maleeya can open 1-2 gifts and these gifts are the same every year. (So far at 4, she hasn’t caught on yet.) Every Christmas Eve, Maleeya gets a pair of PJs, a small activity and her Christmas outfit to be worn the next day. This takes away from the “oh gee, my mom bought me clothes and PJs for Christmas” out of the joy of rampaging through toys and more on Christmas Day. We also watch a movie, sip some hot cocoa and wrap family gifts we probably just bought that day (we're last-minute shoppers, don't judge us).

This Christmas, I must be more cost-focused with my holiday shopping, due to the pricey cost of Maleeya's gymnastics gifts (her gifts will be posted later). My cost focused aka frugal shopping, brought me into a whole new world; the cyber world. I have completed much of my holiday shopping from the same chair I am writing today, and it has been wonderful. This year, I saved tons by visiting Gymboree online and browsed their Holiday Collection. I found everything on my Christmas Eve list and even some bonus items. I found amazing PJs starting at $10, jeans for only $12 dresses 50% off and to top it off, their winter stock up offers deals starting a $3.99. Can we talk about a one stop shop!! As a single mama, these are the prices that make my heart sing. For once I did not need my coupon binder just my laptop and wifi.

If you're like me and take things out of your online cart because of shipping, do not forget to use the code DECEMBER to receive free shipping. Trust you will adore the prices and cute items!!
